Decanul de varsta al retelei ART s-a nascut in timpul celui de-al II-lea razboi mondial in
Podoleni–Bacau. Dupa absolvirea Facultatii de Chimie Industriala din Iasi este cadru
didactic si inginer chimist vreme de cateva decenii. Abia dupa iesirea la pensie, de prin
2000 incoace, a descoperit singura virtutile sforii, minunile care se pot naste din
impletirea acesteia in stravechea tehnica a nodurilor. De atunci si pana astazi, Silvia
Cozminca traieste o a doua tinerete.
Materia prima, denumita generic „sfoara”, e de
fapt compusa de la caz la caz din iuta si canepa, dar si din fire de bumbac, rafie sau
matase vegetala; tot ca materie prima mai utilizeaza lemn, ceramica, sticla, flori si
frunze uscate s.a. Instrumentul principal de lucru este ... mana, ca auxiliare folosind
crosetul, acul, acele de siguranta s.a.
Din 2001 participa regulat la expozitii, targuri,
tabere de creatie si festivaluri ale mesterilor populari din toata tara, cele mai
importante si mai dragi sufletului ei fiind cele de la Iasi, Bucuresti, Piatra Neamt,
Suceava, Constanta, Sighisoara, Roman si Paltinoasa-Suceava (aici avand loc Tabara de
creatie a AMPM, prilej de placute schimburi de idei creatoare intre mesterii de pe cele
doua maluri ale Prutului).
Ne bucura preocuparea Silviei Cozminca pentru
pastrarea unui echilibru dinamic intre traditie si inovatie, fapt destul de greu de
realizat atunci cand clientela solicita tot felul de motive decorative. Insa, obiectele
utilitare si impresionantele decoratiuni de interior ce poarta pecetea creatoarei populare
vadesc o grija deosebita pentru pastrarea echilibrului amintit mai sus. Un alt fapt demn
de subliniat este acela privitor la colaborarea Silviei Cozminca cu diversi alti mesteri
(olari, lemnari, incondeietori de oua), din aceasta colaborare reiesind combinatii de
obiecte extrem de reusite si de apreciate atat de specialisti, cat si de publicul larg
(opincuta – suport pentru linguri de lemn, cuibarul – suport pentru oua incondeiate,
zodiacul s.a.).
O latura definitorie a personalitatii Silviei
Cozminca este constituita de implicarea ei totala in treburi de natura organizatorica,
energia ei vulcanica gasindu-si aici o intrebuintare cu totul fericita. De altfel,
inceputurile AMPM si toata activitatea asociatiei de atunci inainte ii datoreaza multe,
functia de vicepresedinte pe care o indeplineste inca din octombrie 2003 fiind o rasplata
simbolica pentru munca ei neistovita depusa in vederea diversificarii activitatilor
asociatiei noastre.Faptul ca in septembrie 2007 a fost aleasa presedintele noii Asociatii
„ART – Mestesugurile Prutului” nu face decat sa confirme realele sale calitati
organizatorice, predispozitia sa innascuta de a se pune in slujba ajutarii celorlalti,
precum si dorinta ei de a face ca mestesugurile sa prospere. |
The
senior of ART network was born during the Second World War in Podoleni-Bacau. After she
graduated from the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry from Iasi she was a teacher and chemist
engineer for several decades. It was only after she retired, that is, after 2000 that she
discovered by herself the qualities of the cord, the wonderful objects which can arise
using the ancient braiding techniques. From that year on Silvia Cozmanca is reliving her
juvenile years.
The raw stock generically called “cord/string” is
actually made of jute and hemp but also cotton, raffia or vegetal silk fibers; she also
uses for raw stock wood, ceramics, glass, dry flowers and leaves and so on. The main
working tool is…the hand; as auxiliaries she uses the hooked needle, the needle and the
safety pins and so on.
From 2000 she participates on a regular basis to
exhibitions, fairs and creation camps or artisan festivals all over the country, the ones
she likes best being the ones organized in Iasi, Bucuresti, Piatra Neamt, Suceava,
Constanta, Sighisoara, Roman and Paltinoasa-Suceava (here we organize the AMPM Creation
Camp, which represents a wonderful occasion to exchange ideas between the artisans from
both banks of the River Prut).
We are glad to see that Silvia Cozminca struggles to
keep a dynamic equilibrium between tradition and innovation which is rather difficult to
achieve when the customers ask for all sorts of adornments. But the useful and the
impressive interior design objects bear the stamp of the artisan indicate a special care
in order to keep the above mentioned equilibrium. It is worth mentioning that Silvia
Cozminca collaborates with a series of other artisans (potters, carpenters, egg ornamental
designers) and that from this collaboration arise extremely valuable and appreciated
objects both for specialists and for the other publics (peasant’s sandals – wooden
spoons support, the nest- support for design ornamented eggs, the zodiac and so on).
The total implication in organizational activities
represents another special aspect of Silvia Cozminca’s personality, her volcanic energy
being thus employed in a successful way. In fact, the début of AMPM as well as the whole
activity of the association are to a great extent the result of her efforts, the position
of Vice President she occupies from 2003 being rather a symbolic reward for her continuous
work meant to vary the activities carried out by our association.
The fact that she was elected President of the
Association “ART – The handicrafts of Prut River” in September 2007 actually
confirms the true organizational skills, her innate inclination of being useful to other
people and the ardent wish of making things flourish. |
