marcheaza existenta pana in clipa de fata.
Are o bogata si diversa colectie personala; aceasta colectie i-a permis
colaborari cu artisti plastici si designeri in ideea diversificarii ariei tematice a
mestesugului practicat. In legatura cu mestesugul, trebuie precizat ca Elena Spinei
realizeaza majoritatea absoluta a frumoaselor covoare din lana naturala in gherghef
Totusi, schimbarile recente survenite in viata Elenei Spinei, faptul ca a
devenit primar al localitatii in care traieste, s-ar putea sa-i afecteze aceste planuri.
Cat priveste creatia, Elena Spinei incearca sa impace
patra generatie! |
She
spent her childhood on her native heath, in Soroca region, and her childhood years were
marked by the strong emotional relationships she had with her mother and grandmother who
taught her many useful things which would serve her later on during her existence,
including weaving.
From 1988 onwards she has always been present in the
major manifestations of the artisans from the Republic of Moldavia, Romania, Russia,
Ukraine, and Byelorussia. She has a large and varied personal collection; this collection
allowed her to organize an ample personal exhibition at the prestigious National Museum of
Ethnography and Natural History from Chisinau in 2005. She is willing to establish new
collaborations with artisans from Moldavia, but also from abroad; at the same time, she
would like to establish some collaborations with plastic artists and designers in order to
the themes employed. We should also mention the fact that Elena Spinei works most of her
virgin wool carpets in sewing frame (upright loom).
From 2002 she works based on enterpriser license and
she would like to open a small business in the near future. However, the recent changes
occurred in Elena Spinei life, the fact that she became the Mayor of the locality she
lives in, might affect these plans.
We believe that the passion and skill which
characterize the artisan Spinei will get on well with the Mayor Spinei; furthermore, we
dare say that her new administration position will contribute to the development of the
handicrafts in Maximovca.
As for her creation, Elena Spinei struggles to
combine as well as possible the inherited tradition with the innovations required by the
world today. The prizes, diplomas and distinctions received (over 100!), including from
specialized institutions prove that Elena Spinei is on the right path.
There are chances for her daughter to follow the same
path; in fact, this valuable handicraft will be carried on even by the forth generation of
Elena Spineis family! |
