Numele
bunici. In timp si-a faurit o bogata colectie personala formata din palarii, gentute,
s.a. Cu aceasta bogata colectie a putut organiza doua expozitii personale, ambele in
Balti, una in 2003, iar cealalta la hotarul anilor 2006-2007.
Creatia Eugeniei Moldovanu se circumscrie in linii
Eugeniei
Moldovanus name is already known and respected among the artisans from both Romania and
Bassarabia. Besides this, the artisan from Balti is a member of the prestigious Academy of
Traditional Arts from Sibiu, chief of the UMPM branch in Balti but also among the few also
members of AMPM. She learned to braid from one of her grandmothers. Over the years she
built a personal collection made of hats, small bags, and ornamental objects for Christmas
tree. Toys, various figurines, jewels, panels and so on. With this large collection she
was capable to organize two personal exhibitions, both in Balti, one in 2003 and the other
one in 2006-2007.
Eugenia Moldovanus creation circumscribes to a
great extent to the traditional universe in Moldavia, the types of products she fabricates
bear the mark of the Moldavian peasant living in the plain. The puppets, the ring bells,
the hats or the angels made of straw draw everybodys attention, the views becoming
often faithful buyers.
The civilized packing and the products display
according to some marketing rules manage to bring Eugenia Moldovan more customers.
The artisan from Balti is aware that she cannot
remain tied to a tradition which is no longer appreciated and this is why she is
constantly trying to come with products popular among the contemporary public; but there
is in this process a trace of regret: It is a shame that the handicraft must evolve in
step with the world we live in!. Eugenia Moldovanus biography would not be complete
if we had not mentioned her passion for the abstruse poetry and literature, this secret
passion appearing from the following confession: I believe that there is not something
we should invoke, there is something we should experience; there is something we ourselves
create. We must use the energy, the light, the power and the moment in order to focus on
the plans we have to carry out together. Besides this, by the power the personal
example is what Eugenia Moldovanu does for more than 15 years on day by day, time after
time with an energy coming from the Lord! |
