strabuni.
Mesterul de la Soroca a invatat mestesugul
impletitului in nuiele de rachita pe cale culta, absolvind in anul 2000 Colegiul
Republican de Creatie Populara si Artizanat din Chisinau. Ne bucuram sa constatam ca
Victor Brighidin are deja o mica colectie personala formata din obiecte specifice
mestesugului sau: cosuri, panere, mese, fotolii, sticle impletite s.a.
Inca nu are o afacere propriu-zisa, desi si-ar dori
distribuire a produselor sale. Contactele stabilite in cadrul retelei ART, participarea,
Sorocai. |
Rarely
did we met a young artisan able to blend the traditional techniques with the specific
demands of the world we live in. Victor Brighidin, age 26 is one of the youngest members
of ART transborder network; however his creation proves an enviable maturity; well, we
consider that this maturity arises precisely from his respect he shows towards genuine
tradition inherited from our ancestors.
The artisan from Soroca learned the wicker of willow
handicraft by way of schooling: he graduated from The Popular Creation and Handicraft
Republican College from Chisinau in the year 2000. We are glad to see that Victor
Brighidin has already a personal creation made of objects specific to his handicraft:
hand-woven baskets, creels, tables, armchairs, wicker bottles and so on.
This is not yet a real business, though he wishes to
set a small company; in what concerns this matter, one of the major problems the artisan
from Badiceni deals with is the fact he lacks real distribution opportunities for his
products. The contracts concluded with ART network, his participation to a series of
important Romanian fairs (Piatra-Neamt, Roman and Suceava, obtaining even a prize in the
last one!) with the help of AMPM, represent real chances in the efforts of finding such
opportunities; we also believe that by posting his products together with those of other
network members on the web page of the project he will be in the public eye.
His nature, the sincere and direct way of approaching
his fellows, a certain type of archaic humor, his diligence and perseverance which
characterize him, as well as the fact that he manages to keep the promises he makes to
himself and to the others, these are the values of the young artisan coming from the
ancient land of Soroca. |
